Gender plays a huge role in flatland. First off, since females are lines, they posed a threat to the polygons. For example, their pointy tips could impale polygons, causing them to die. Due to this danger, woman tended to stay inside and were never offered a chance to further their education. It was actually a law that woman couldn’t get an education.
