French Toast Narrative

I woke up to the irritating ring of my alarm, the smell of French toast lingering through the air, and the feeling of a spider crawling up my arm. It started out like any other day, but little did I know that this day was going to be a day to remember. I woke up early that day so that I could get revenge on my sisters and make them feel an icy cold shower while I felt the heat of a hot shower. The shower, however, was freezing because my sisters had the same idea as me. The shower that day was by far one of the coldest showers I have ever been in. My mom had picked out my outfit for me that day, so I put it on and made my way upstairs to eat the French toast that had been making my taste buds water all morning. The French toast, as I expected, tasted like heaven, and reminded me of all the happy things in life, like seeing, smelling, and tasting a …show more content…
Our coach told us all to show up an hour early so that we could be warmed-up and mentally prepared for the game. The other team was one of the cockiest teams in the league. They didn’t show up till fifteen minutes before the game, so we all knew that we were far more prepared than they were. The umps showed up fifteen minutes late to the championship game, THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Our coach was so irritated that we could practically see steam coming out of his ears. As the game started, I felt like l had butterflies in my stomach. My nerves seemed to calm as the baseball smacked against my leather glove, and hearing the roar of the crowd as I got the out. Both teams were giving it all they had to try and win the championship game, but you could tell that my team was definitely trying harder than the other team. No one had scored yet, and the end of the game was very close. We had a seven inning game for the championship game, and we were already at the bottom of the sixth inning.
