Gender roles refers to the set of social and behavioral norms that are considered to be appropriated for specific sex. Throughout years genders roles has changed. For example Colorado was the first state granting women the right to vote with Utah and Idaho. Genders roles vary in different countries all around the world from labor, marriage, and socialization. Genders roles changes in culture throughout division of labor, society, marriage, behavior, education, and religion.
Most stereotypes classified that " a women place is in the house". Has most people think the role of a women is as a wife and mother. She is to be nurturing, compassionate, housekeeper, carrying, and supportive to the family. On the other hand, the roles of a men is as a husband and a father, and the family breadwinner. This changes have a big impact in society, religion wise, marriage, behavior, and the division of work. This changes have positive and negative effects around the world. Not just around the world, but also to the people who we are close to. Nowadays power is so big the people over use it. Some people use for positive, other things the is for something good, but in most opinion of the people is negative. In my opinion is great the women has the opportunity to be educated and be independent, in some cases is not like that. With this I 'm not saying is bad because you still have the men who is in "charge". Nowadays, couples don’t last for long or marriages either, the word "interest" is what keep some people together. You can 't rely on stereotypes and generalizations about men and women
