Women prefer men that are tall, muscular, narrow waisted and with chiseled facial features; men prefer women who are young, fit and attractive. While these features may be the same for most, not all cultures share the same interests. Exposure to images of model, thin type ideal bodies in mass media has resulted in body image issues in both men and women. Women desiring to be thinner and men aiming to be more muscular are results of comparing themselves to what others look like. Let us not forget the gay community. Gender roles for the same-sex partners are the same of those of the regular relationship. LGBT or lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender have struggled for their own equal rights for numerous years. An example is the military’s “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy in 1993; it prohibits discrimination and harassment on closeted gay members or applicants but bars those who are openly homosexual from serving. A year later the DADT policy was signed into law by President Bill Clinton. In 2010, a repeal was established to end the DADT policy and finally ended in September
