Gaucher disease is one of the numerous genetic diseases that kills countless people all over the world. The question to ask yourself is do you think we spend enough money to cure genetic diseases or so we need to spend more? We spend more than 90 billion dollars a year on advanced genetics and still have not cured any of the more common diseases. Personally, I think we spend too much money on advanced genetics because we have not found a cure for the extremely serious diseases (cancer, tesac disease, down syndrome, etc.).
