Giraffes: A Fictional Narrative

Off the edge of the Sahara, Jeoffrey Edwards grazed the flourishing grassy plains, basking in the solar rays with his good ol’ pal Basim. The further they meandered, the later it got; around 7 they had finally decided they were homebound. As they went, blissfully strolling through the maze of jungle vast throughout his home, the sudden appearance of a mysterious figure startled the two. The new giraffe was weirdly large, and seemed quite frightening to the giraffes. His face was hidden and all you could see where his spots, but when he began speaking his voice roared like a lion. Jeoffrey was sickened at the thought of his friend being gone, but he knew that this wasn’t over. Once standing Jeoffrey dashed home,”time for preparation” he said. As he strolled through the door of his mother’s cottage, his mother already flooded with tears flowing down her face; Basim’s mother struck in catatonic state, sits quietly to herself contemplating what to do, her only son gone with the wind. At the moment Jeoffrey rose like a titan and said,” I will leave a dusk, and when I get back Basim will be with me.” When dusk finally came around, Jeoffrey was ready, he had to be considering he had not slept all night, staying awake pondering what he will do when he leaves, where to go first. After enough thinking, he remembers he was standing facing north when the weird giraffe began to charge towards him, therefore he assumed that the weird giraffe had headed due south. Jeoffrey was finally on his way south mapping out the coordinates to a southern city named Sirap, the fashion capital of the giraffe world. Upon arrival in this city, around noon, he keeps his eyes scavenging for possible signs of this vigilant, while still trying to remain inconspicuous to the general public.
