Golden Gate High School Mission Statement

Every parent wants their child to be a leader. As a future educator, who will be working diligently to engage and motivate students so they want to: learn, read, write, create, and push themselves to become life-long learners and leaders. Educational leadership involves inspiration, empowerment, and genuine concern and dedication to the growth of the whole person, whether staff or student. Leadership from administrators, teachers, and/or students define the quality of a school by, having a clear mission, keeping a safe and orderly climate, and keeping high expectations. Leadership is indisputable in a school that shares a moral purpose and vision. This vision and purpose must drive the school’s mission; therefore, it is not enough for someone who is in charge to have a moral purpose. He/she must clarify and express it, but also ask other to commit to it. At Golden Gate High School-also known as GGHS- the vision statement is to have a school where all students are involved in the highest level of learning; the mission statement is to to foster the highest level of a safe learning environment through a team of students, parents, community members, and faculty. …show more content…
A schoolwide foundation provides all students with the support and skills they need to become effective learners and problem solvers. Because Golden Gate High School has a diverse population of students, it is a priority for staff to have a secure learning environment for every individual. Based upon my observations in the classroom, the instructor had a clean, orderly and welcoming atmosphere where students were encouraged to learn. For example, during a lecture she would motivate students to participate in class discussions and not to fear shame and ridicule for saying the wrong answer. After she mentioned that, the students felt more comfortable and not as an embarrassment to their peers and
