This consumer arrived in the ER this morning. The consumer is a 43 year olds/ African American male with a history of heroin abuse. The wife brought him into the ER because he kept pacing the floor and threating to killed himself. The consumer is agitated and having troubles staying focus on the questions during his assessment. The consumer did admit to having heroin addiction and does want help. The consumer mood is depressed and it appears that he has been under a lot of stress with work and his home life. The consumer is also showing sign of withdrawal
