How did each ruler of the Kim Dynasty come to power?
North Korea has been under a dictatorship where even the most loved soldier can be executed. North Korea is in an systematic tyranny. A tyranny is usually thought of as cruel and oppressive, and it often is, but the original definition of the term was rule by persons who lack legitimacy, whether they be malign or benevolent. The Kim Dynasty has been ruling North Korea since 1948. How does the Kim Dynasty and their systematic tyranny, millions worshiping them as gods? The Kim Dynasty begins with Kim Il Sung. He was the “Great Leader, the Sun of the Nation, and the Marshal of the Mighty Republic. He was a party chief and the president and comrade in chief of the North Korean armed forces. With his background of service in the Soviet army, the Soviet Union appointed him as the first leader of the Democratic People’s of Republic of Korea (DPRK) in 1948. However Kim Il Sung did not earn the leadership of the DPRK, it was handed to him. To try to show he was not a puppet leader, Kim Il Sung launched an invasion on South Korea to try to reunify Korea. His attempt to extend his rule there was repelled by U.S. troops and other UN forces, however, and it was only through massive Chinese support that he was able to repel a subsequent invasion of North Korea by UN forces. The Korean War ended in a stalemate in 1953. When Kim Il Sung came to power he brought his own cult of personality with him that North Koreans still follow by till this day.
