How Is Daisy's Life Reflected In The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby has many little stories to tell from each character. Their stories can bring out the life of them. These representations can be interpreted in other ways. The themes in this story are wealth, dreams, and time. This all connects back to the characters and their own little world that they live in. Fitzgerald represents himself through these characters.
In this story there are many ways, F. Scott Fitzgerald lives out his personal aspirations and fears through his character of Jay Gatsby. Like Gatsby, Fitzgerald seemed to be in a struggle of feeling empty inside although he would have material things. He tried to fill that empty space with throwing parties having so much people come to his house. His only hope was that Daisy would come to one of them, which was his love of his life. The author writes of himself through the characters of Nick and Gatsby. They energy and struggles the characters go through is a reflections of the author himself. It is shown through Gatsby’s entire goal which is his dream to be with Daisy. He uses wealth to get to that goal which is throwing those extravagant parties for hopes of Daisy attending to one of them. Time is a big thing in this case because Daisy already has a partner and is late to get her back although he doesn’t want to give up. The green light is a symbol for time. The green light is something that Gatsby keeps looking at because Daisy is looking at it too. He feels connected with her in that way. He tells her that that’s a way they know of each other's love. Time is very important for him because he seems to want to be ahead of time to get to his goal but this is bad for him because he wants Daisy but she does not choose
