It can be a great idea to make a blueprint outlining where every piece of furniture will be placed. 6. Notify others about your move. About one month before your move takes place, begin reaching out to the following to tell them of your pending address change. These include: the postal service, your creditors, utility companies and anyone else who would need your new address. If you are moving out of the area, then assemble your medical and dental records. 7. Tie the loose ends. The days leading up to your move can be so stressful. This is where asking friends and family to help can relieve you of much anxiety.
