As an educator and a coach, you have to develop multiple strategies in order to assess student and player development. It is vital not only for the student and players personal development but also for the teacher and coach to develop and improve on teaching and coaching processes to better help instruct more students in the future. There are many different methods to successfully assess your students or players such as; performance assessments, portfolio or journal usage, self-evaluations, oral interviews, retelling stories, writing samples, demonstrations, game film review, practice drills, and overall teacher or coach observations.
