Evolving into Something New
The Industrial Revolution changed more than the eye can see. From making machines work more efficient and more products to be produced faster, the Industrial Revolution was a game changer in history. It was the link between the old and the new. The Industrial Revolution was a positive happening in society because it made many new technological advancements, stabilized the economy, and it grew the population of many countries. It stabilized the economy from all of the new business being created. An example of a job created was to work on an assembly line. It was a faster, more efficient way to work to produce a product. Eventually, the workers grew stronger and cut down the time to produce a product. History.com states “Average assembly time dropped from 20 minutes to 13 minutes and soon was down to five minutes” (History.com). It shows how some hour productions were shortened to five minutes just with the help of a few extra hands.
Lastly, it increased the population of many countries. Some may argue that this is a negative. It is a positive because it made a larger middle class causing less people to live in poverty. It also let people travel and explore because they were no longer needed to live in cities to get resources. This also made new jobs because of people spreading out all over the country. This was a big benefit to the Industrial Revolution.
The Industrial Revolution was a strive in the right direction. As it cause many to benefit and less to hurt from it. It made the economy more stable, it created faster ways for production, and it increased the population of many countries.
