Thesis Statement: Curling is a sport that originated in Scotland in the 1500s and is often overlooked despite being an Olympic level sport for almost a hundred years.

Attention Gaining Device: Curling is often equated with applying a hot ceramic barrel to your hair, but it is also the name a winter sport played at the Olympics every four years.
Credibility: I have never played Curling, but it has captivated my attention ever since my brother first made me watch it during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
