It is a melancholy scene to see, all those families walking through the town, when they see the streets full of people buying necessary and unnecessary objects, followed by three, four, or six children, all in rags asking their parents to get them essential items for school, clothing or at least new pairs of shoes. These mothers instead of buying them the essential items, they are forced to pay rent, to buy food they could afford, to pay electricity or even to pay off debts.
I think it is agreed by all parties, that this prodigious number of families in the arms, or on the backs, or at the heel of financial stability.…
