Johannes Kepler's Theory

Johannes Kepler was born December 25, 1571 in Weil der Stadt, Germany. His father was a mercenary who died in Holland when Kepler was only five and his mother was a herbalist who ran an inn owned by her father. Kepler often helped his mother by serving at the inn. Kepler went to a local school and then moved on to attened the Protestant Seminary of Maulbronn intending to become a Protistant minister. After completing his studies at Maulbronn, Kepler went on to attend the University of Tubinegn where he exelled in Mathmatics. It was here that Kepler was deemed capable of being taught the works of Nicolas Copernicus's. Kepler gave up on his plans of becoming a Protistant minister, and in 1594, began giving lectures about mathmatics and astronomy at the Protistant School in the city of Graz, Austria. Kepler believed that Copernicus's heliocentric model of the solar system was right. He believed that the sun exerted a force on the planets orbiting around it. Kepler published "Mystery of the Cosmos" in 1596, which explaned logicaly why the sun was the center of our solar system. Kepler belived his theory suported Copernicus's theory, and before presenting his own theory, he would often provide arguments for Copernicus's theory. Kepler was a profoundly religious man who believed that his work was fufilling his Christian duty to attempt to understand the world God created. His beliefs motivated him to relentlessly work to uncover the mysteries surrounding the movements of our solar system. His Laws of Planetary Motion changed the ways we saw the planets. Were it not for Johannes Kepler we would have believed that the sun, planets, and all the stars revolve around the Earth for much longer and even longer to realize that the shape of our planets are eliptical instead of
