There's no denying that John Legend is one of the strongest standing balladeers left that made modern mainstream music still susceptible to pure emotions of love and feelings. It is with John Legend that we heard songs reminiscent of the effect that Boyz II Men and Babyface showered us during the bountiful industry of the 1990s---saccharine-rich tracks that's certainly difficult to go unnoticed. In just a couple of years, John Legend managed to establish his own placement as a respected and relative pop icon, and with the latest album that he released, he further cemented his fame to stability. The tracks included on this latest venture is so much different from his 2013 super-hit All Of Me or the very touching Ordinary People, people shall prepare to see a different version of John Legend which is lovable still. Known to be his fifth album to date, Darkness and Light would scope on things that are not so normal of John Legend, however, the denominator that strings it all back up is the use of human emotions that are easy to relate with and outright comprehensible. Love as a music tool is still there, however, John Legend would let us view it in a different perspective and we will all nod in agreement that this precious emotion is not always about pleasurable
