The pyramids of Giza also known as Khufu have been one of the most amazing structures ever built. Especially based on the time they were built. This was more than 4500 years ago! They have inspired many other buildings and are an architectural masterpiece. It’s amazing that one of the oldest wonders of the world is still standing. To some people they may just be nice to look at, but have you ever wondered how they were built?

There have been many theories as to how the Pyramids were built. These being quite unusual or have no evidence of them being used. Here are two:

1 – Slaves would make a huge ramp which they hauled 1 ton stones over using logs and rope. This is implausible because there is no evidence of any ramp being outside of the pyramid, plus for this to work they would need millions of tons of rubble on a hugely extended ramp. After finishing the construction of it, it would take several more years to get rid of. There is

There are two ways I know how to do this. 1, lay her on her back and use your finger to draw a circle around her head in the air. Then sharply and quickly, draw your finger away and back again. 2, stroke their chin and wattles (the red things under their beak). Both of these methods cause some breeds of chickens to freeze until you wake them up by clapping or shaking them. I’ve also tried this on Nutmeg but with not very much success.
Another reason you may want to consider having chickens as pets is because they are not just cute and funny but they also have a purpose. Chickens as you probably already know can lay eggs. If you compare XL shop bought eggs to the ones laid by Nutmeg, hers will usually always be bigger. Fresh eggs also taste better than eggs that have been laid by factory hens then sold in a shop where they may have been sitting around for

Although there were many different ideas on how the pyramids were built, using a ramp is least possible as there are many things wrong with it. Mark, Joshua J. explains just how improbable this is in his article “Great Pyramid of Giza.” The first of the many complications this would create is making a ramp that has a small enough angle that would allow people to pull up blocks anywhere from 2 to 60 tons. In order to do this the angle of the ramp would have to be 8 percent or less. If this was the case the ramp would be about 1 mile long, bigger than the pyramid itself.…

The Pyramid of Giza was built during the height of the Egyptian civilization. I chose to include it in my space capsule because it is not only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, but also encompasses the idea of human perseverance. If more people were informed about the lives of these animals it may make them reconsider where they shop for food, thus narrowing down their options of what to eat. Pollan explains that while it may not seem like they can feel emotions the way humans do, there is no excuse for everything they have to endure in factory farms and feedlots. “Believe me, the people who run those places don’t waste any time thinking about animal suffering. If they did, they’d have to go out of business” (255), the egg farms are especially bad. The laying hen will be forced into a tiny, wire cage with six other hens.…

Animal Welfare in the Egg Industry Hard-boiled, scrambled, sunny side up, poached, baked, or fried, eggs are one of the most common breakfast foods in America. With 50 billion eggs being produced per year in the United States alone, the treatment and welfare of chickens being used for egg production, referred to as layers, is crucial to consider. As egg producers own and manage the majority of their business, they are able to affect the entire process of how the layers are reared, fed, housed, managed, and marketed. With this amount of control in mind, commercial egg producers have come under fire for their choice of housing system for their layers. The most common form of housing, battery cages, prevents nearly all normal behavior, including…

Concerning the materials used to build the pyramids, there are many different theories on what was used to build these pyramids. One theory is the common theory. It states that the pyramids core was constructed of local quarried limestone cemented together and that casing blocks came from Tura, which was across the Nile River (Gandalla 31-32). However, archeologists Moustafa Gandalla disproved this theory. He believes that the workers made their stones by hand with a mixture of different materials (Gandalla 41).…
