This shows that she is a very feminine lady that did everything right and wants Juliet to follow what she did. She says that many ladies are already mothers so she must marry Paris soon. Lady Capulet also follows whatever her husband Capulet says and does not go against him even for her own daughter Juliet. An example of Lady Capulet being this way in Romeo and Juliet is, “Here comes your father. Tell him so yourself, And see how he will take it at your hands.” (III, iiiii, 124-125)
Even trying to calm her husband down he gets angrier and ignores her. Lady Capulet wants the best for Juliet, her husband, and herself. Lady Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris for her and her husband's sake. In Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet is an important character. In the beginning she is a strong a member of the “I hate the Montague” club, vain, prim and proper. That’s where a willow tree branch transfers into the left into a peaceful olive branch going from accepting to making peace. Also a colorful mask in the front transforms into a white mask on the back for a clean slate with the Montague family. This transformation symbolizes that she is now more accepting, forgiving yet mourning. However, towards the end of the story after Tybalt’s, Juliet’s and Paris’ death, she is broken down with morn, accepts the Montague’s but is still a woman with
