To prevent myself from going overboard, I will provide two examples of conflicts that have been present within the three chapters, which were the dispute between Tita, the main character, and her mother, Mama Elena, as well as Tita’s …show more content…
These two problems will become an essential part of the storyline in the coming chapters of Like Water for Chocolate. Tita having involvement with two of these conflicts will eventually go hand-in-hand with one another depending on how Mama Elena fairs with the whole Tita-Pedro situation. It’ll be interesting on how everyone eventually also gets affected, which Nacha and Gertrudis have already experienced the effects of magical realism due to Tita’s self conflict with emotions. It might be pretty obvious at this rate, but both, single or no resolution of the conflicts will be the deciding factor in how the course of this novel will go as I read the next coming
