The guy fights like he is scratching someone. The girl does the same thing as the boy but with her eyes closed. The last action is throwing something. They show one of the teenage girls and the young boy for this action. The teenage girl throws without even trying and the young boy pretends he drops it before throwing. Then the producer tells the second group but this time its four young girls. The girls also have to run, throw and hit like a girl. The girls show the opposite when they do it. They run as fast as they can. They show they can fight like a warrior. When they show how a girl throws they throw like an olympist would. After this, they ask the youngest girl what does it mean to run like a girl and she says “It means run as fast as you can”. Then the screen goes blue and they show “When did doing something “Like A Girl” become an insult?” They ask the youngest boy if he thinks he just insulted his sister. He responds with “No, I mean yea, insulted girls but not my sister”. They change the camera to one the young girls. Men can relate to this video because like the young boy in the commercial they don’t realize that by saying you run, hit and throw like a girl. It relates to their own sister because they are a girl. Boys who think they aren’t insulting their sister because they don’t say directly to them you do stuff “LikeAGirl” aren’t smart enough. They don’t understand that they are offending every girl including their sister because she is a girl. Audience might feel anger because the phrase “LikeAGirl” has always separated men and women to be different. Our society has divided the concept of a guy doing certain things because they are guys, this is the same for girls. Hitting puberty should be a positive thing not a negative thing. Always is trying to emphasize that being a woman is a wonderful thing. The phrase “LikeAGirl” has become an insult because men use it against each other. They use it in sports, they say it when a guy is not as fast or the strongest. They use “LikeAGirl” as an insult because women are considered weak. Women who are professional athletes that have gone through puberty could reject parts of the ad because they gained more confidence rather than loosing it. Not all girls run fast, throw far or hit the hardest but
