There are many reasons for both the legalization of Marijuana and for the opposing side of this as well. But Marijuana should most definitely not be legalized in the United States. People say that some of the reasons for not legalizing this drug could be that it is a gateway drug or that people will misuse the drug when legalized just as alcohol is.

Just like there are ten reasons to not legalize marijuana there is also ten to legalize it. Reason one would be that yes it could damage a person's health but that's their right to do so. Two, it could endanger the public safety but, not if they only smoke in places that it is designated for or in their own home. Three, many scientist are saying the medical marijuana is just a myth but, really it still works. For reason four, it could endanger young people but, they could just keep it away from them by adding an age limit on the drug. Number five, it will bring the United States more money by selling the drug and taxing it. Six, the use of Marijuana may increase but, eventually they will not want it anymore. Seven, Marijuana will affect a person's sex life but that's their choice. Reason eight, this drug is linked with dangerous narcotics but, so are cigarettes.
