Gordie as a child always kept a notebook by his side. It was the only way he knew how to express himself considering his parents looked at him as the “Invisible Boy”. Gordie was considered a invisible boy because of the death of his brother dennis, gordie parents didn't realize gordie as the individual he was so they tried to mold him into a person he was not which left his talents and fulfilments on hold because it simply ruined his childhood. Throughout “ The body” by Stephen King the four friend Chris, Teddy, Gordie and Penny all individually represented each attribute in maslow's pyramid. Whether it was the abuse that Chris and Teddy received or the neglection Gordie received because of his brothers death.
