People from I Never Had It Made (Robinson), Warriors Don’t Cry (Beals), and “The Father of Chinese Aviation” (Feng Ru) impacted our nation and made our and their nation more superior. Melba Beals, Jackie Robinson, and Feng Ru all experienced life-changing events that impacted their lives and country. Melba Beals helped all students attend a school such as black and white students. Some challenges she faced was ugly words, threats, mobs, her mother was sad, and people were staring at her as if she was a different person or an alien. She responded by staying calm even though she was scared she stayed calm and went to school so she can be an example or a symbol for other people like Jackie Robinson. “We stepped up the front door of Central High School and crossed the threshold into that place where segregationist mobs had forbidden us to go”(Beals). This shows how she stayed positive and with a little help from the military she got to go school and break the barrier of not letting African-Americans into school. These events helped Melba grow and learn by helping and letting her know how scary society is, how strong military power is, and how scary people are. She explains how she entered school. Finally, after the Arkansas National Guard was removed by the president, she was able to attend school, Beals said “I walked on the concrete path toward the front door of the school, the same path the Arkansas National Guard had blocked us from the day before.” This shows how scary people can be to block anybody from anything and how she got to school after the National Guard was removed because of the soldiers and the president. The events he faced was when he had to move 2 times because of natural disasters, he also crashed his plane while he was riding it, and lastly, he faced the San Francisco earthquake and fires. “He understood that industrialization could do the same for China”(Maksel). This shows how he got his idea of his aviation inventions, bring industrialization to his country, and that industrialization made this country great. He responded by keeping the hard work up, even though he faced challenges as plane crashes and loans, he took these risks to achieve his goals. Maksel said “co - authored a book on the contributions of Chinese living outside their country to the development of aviation in China.” This shows how the achieved aviation in China and he helped his country by doing this. These events caused him to grow and learn to not give up, ignore negativity, and do everything you want no matter what people do or say and work hard to achieve your goals. He impacted his country, China, by bringing better transportation (airplanes/aviation), bringing more industrialization to his country, and letting his people know to don’t stop achieving their/your goals and that everything comes with a risk.
