Corruption is a current issue in Mexico. It is an issue of much importance that if it keeps on going, it may lead to the perdition of the country. Morris We look back at the implications of the recent presidential election on anti-corruption and activity in Mexico. That regard in return to Institutional Revolutionary Party which is known by its Spanish acronym (PRI). PRI held power for seven decades, until the hold of the century, and rightly and wrongly that is a period that is known by marked political corruption in the country. Also we look the legal framework for addressing corruption issues and bribery issues in Mexico. One of them has to do with the fact that Mexico is border country to the United States. But Mexico's economy needs internal liberation, not foreign aid. Moreover, having better legal alternatives doesn't eliminate the allure of high illicit profits. Organized crime still exists in the United States. What the United States could do that would most help Mexico would be to legalize marijuana, which provides 60 percent of the cartel's revenue. That might shrink the cartels to the point that the Mexican government could take them.
