The foundation of multiculturalism and most powerful element is humanity and its core values. We are all humans, with similar needs, fears, and aspirations, that all deserve equal importances, rights and protections from the Government despite their background. It allows the people to express their faith, celebrations and mournings in their own ways. multiculturalism is not about dwelling on the differences but to focus on how similar we are to each other. Ideas that immigrants and their presence hurts the Canadian identity is wrong, as the Canadian identity is not just one identity, it has never been just one identify. This country was founded with two official languages, meaning that the identity of all Canadians is not just one sole identity. Because of the incorporation of so many other cultures, the use of government policies can be used to reduce the suspicion around some of the communities, and help protect immigrants from prejudiced
