My Nursing Career Path

Improved Essays
Nursing is a career which does not only concentrate on the health of the individual, but their social circumstances too. I feel that this is one of the main reasons why I have chosen this career path. I believe that holistically supporting the individual provides a positive environment for the individual in need of treatment, potentially improving their health and well-being. Whilst studying health and social care, I have become interested in mental health nursing as a career path. Mental health nursing involves considering global needs and assisting recovery, but also assisting the individual’s family in coming to terms with the individual’s illness.

I believe that I am suitable for this course because I am compassionate, committed and courageous. I have not only shown commitment in my education, having a high attendance record and completing coursework to the best of my ability, but in other aspects of my life. I have completed various work placements in which I have attended and presented a positive work ethic in all. I believe I am compassionate and treat individuals equally with respect and dignity no matter what situation they are in. Also, I believe I am courageous because I shall take on any task handed to me and complete it to the best of my ability.

Pre nursing is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while and is something that I’m really passionate about because I have always found it intriguing and interesting since I was young.
