My potential interviewee, Hugh Hardyman, works as an automation carpenter for Broadway. An automation carpenter is a backstage worker responsible for the movement of objects around the stage. For the Broadway performance, “Spiderman,” Hugh worked to make Spiderman fly. Right now, he’s one of the automation carpenters for a Broadway show that we get to see, “Something Rotten.” I thought it would be interesting to learn about the history and makings of “Something Rotten,” seeing as we get to see the final product.…
Still feeling helpless Jose describes what he's doing as "dishonorable" and says that’s he's a "wretch". The use of these words also serve to highlight how helpless Jose felt and how desperate he was to get fired from his job. He went to desperate measures and decided to knock over one hundred and eight pies, finally resulting in him being fired from his…
Tenochtitlan, also known as the impossible city, capital of the Aztec Empire was one of the most historic cities in the world. Larger than London, Paris, and even Rome, it was a bustling metropolis that housed thousands of craftsmen. The architecture of Tenochtitlan was astounding, every structure was carefully painted and ornamented. It was crisscrossed by an intricate pattern of canals.…

Differences Vinny is reluctant to do stuff, such as jumping off of the ledge. Spider-Man is willing to do anything to save the citizens or fight villains in New York.…

Back in the 1600s, people would be accused of being a witch and for doing witchcraft. A witch was a powerful being, being able to conjure many spells. There was a witch named Alabi. She had several pets, of which she “played” with. But, most of them played “dead” when she did.…
I grew up in a household filled with Hispanic influences, telenovelas in the evening, rice and bistec for dinner and an old towel on the end of a stick to mop the floor. As a child, I was always extremely proud of my heritage despite being considered a “Gringa” among family and close friends. My interests to be a liaison between Latin America and the rest of the world as a foreign correspondent not only come from familial ties but also a sense of purpose. Just because all Hispanics speak Spanish doesn’t mean each experience is the same. Although the struggles among countries may be similar, each country has a different history along with the reasons why families decide to leave or stay.…
I am, in all aspects of the word, a Mexican. My skin is brown and my family is large. I've done more physical labor in my life than most people I know will ever will. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and although I was born in America, I am a minority. Much like every other immigrant, my parents came to America because they wanted me and my siblings to have the lives they could not.…

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) is directed by Marc Webb; his background is in short films and music videos, but many would agree that he did a fantastic job on only his second major motion picture. In this film, one of the many reboots of Stan Lee’s original Marvel comic books, a radioactive spider bites Peter Parker and allows him to develop superpowers that he uses to help New York City stay safe. That’s not all though, there are also giant evil lizards walking around that have a vendetta for the web-slinging hero. Many have heard Uncle Ben’s famous words, “with great power comes great responsibility,” but what most do not notice is how all of director Marc Webb’s camera angles, lighting, and sound effects all deliver this message. The main theme in Webb’s…
