Though this paper is written in the context of such a system, the reflections on the nature of teacher, student, and curriculum presented below should prove to be valid in a variety of educational settings. As a student, I was most impressed by teachers who took the time to invest in me and helped me thrive as a person both in and outside of the classroom. Their service has made me the man I am today. They instilled in me a passion for excellence and a love for learning that has led me to great success and immense enjoyment in my life thus far. Also, in my own experiences as an educator I have tried to serve my students by supplying them with essential information in an enjoyable manner that also takes them deeper into the subject and allows room for exploration, discussion, and reflection. I have tried to inspire them to see merits of learning and further their desire to become better students and better people. Since all of life is a learning experience, what more could an educator ask
