In the town of the Red Dragons two people ruled as king and queen of the town their names were Cane and Jade. They ruled with kindness and joy towards the townsfolk. Everyone also made sure to treat their surroundings with the upmost kindness. See, they believed that everything had a voice and was able to be living. All the nature around them began to come alive and make this town beautiful. Everything was perfect, until someone came along. His name was Brad. Poseidon always watched over the Red Dragon tribe as a deed of solitude to them for protecting and taking care of his ocean. One day Poseidon was calmly watching over his sea when he noticed something. He noticed something burning in the town of the Red Dragon. Out in the distance Brad and his friends started to cause havoc, they were burning wood near the houses, trashing all the homes, wasting all the food, and the worst thing of all, empting the waste into the sea. The carp could act as however it is being portrayed as or it could mean something important to what it is being associated with. Many mythical symbols have a beginning, such as the carp. There are stories about the origin of the carp, but those are not one-hundred percent true. “The real origin of those coloured creatures was in truth, more of an accident than by any real intentions and they are truly ‘man made’” (“Origins and Myths” 1).…

Many Asian folktales and myths portray Eastern Dragons as friendly towards people and generous in their rewards. In the legend of “The Four Dragons,” the dragons saw that there was a terrible drought in China, causing “the crops [to] wither, the grass [to] turn yellow and fields [to crackle] under the scorching sun,” (E1). When the dragons saw the people’s suffering, they grew very upset and decided to appeal to the Jade Emperor, who agreed to send down rain. However, ten days pass and there was still no rain; they decided to try to make rain themselves using ocean-water, saving the people’s crops.…

The sun wasn't even quite up, yet the flames made the area almost bright as day, raging flames that lapped away at the bases of the large concrete structures built long before the war and dotted the wasteland for some distance, flames that stood as a testament to the cruelty and savageness of the attack as well as the power of the attacking gang. These flames had dwindled over time but many of the constructions of the trader camp still burned brightly and energetically. At first glance it was almost like the area had been hit with a flamethrower or fire spell. Yet, these flames were not created by any weapon made by the hands of man - the attack had come swiftly and with no warning, only the silent gust of air a signal before the trader camp…

While the men were heading back to Ithaca, Zeus sent a massive storm to wreck their ship. Odysseus described this by stating, “Zeus… with thunder and lightning together crashed on our vessel… my men were thrown in the water… and the god took away their homecoming,” (XII: 415-419). This scene is significant because Zeus completely changed the companions’ fate. Instead of letting them sail back home safely and reunite with their families as they planned to, Zeus broke apart their ship and let the men drown. However, this scene is also significant because Odysseus was able to use his godlike strength to change the fate the gods planned for him.…
