We have a lot of homeless/psych patient that comes at the ER. Most of them needs placement and so the social service and discharge planner coordinate with one another to find a place for these patients. We also make sure that we provide them with prescription medication upon discharge. Uninsured patients are welcome to come back within 1 month for free health care if additional treatment is necessary (Posgar, 2013).
