The racial tensions in LA made many people believe the police were out to get black people, this damaged the jury’s ability to listen to evidence in a fair and open minded way. OJ’s flamboyant and fun personality also clouded the Jury’s ability to analyze evidence fairly. I believe there were too many problems going on at the same time that caused the trial to get out of hand including the way that the Judge handled the media. Each one of these things which should not have affected the Jurys decision if they followed the law and the Jurys instructions, but in a trail anything can happen with a Jury. The problem lays in the fact that this evidence put Simpson at the scene of the crime, blood evidence from the scene of the crime was recovered at Simpsons’ residence. This was not disputed by the scientific evidence but the Jury chose to believe it was planted by the LAPD in a conspiracy to frame Simpson in a few short hours involving numerous police personnel getting together and coordinating this massive frame up in such a short time period which goes beyond common sense that anyone would do this and for what reason?
