Overcoming Adversity Analysis

There are numerous forms adversity may take in a person’s life: medical, social, and abusive, to name a few. Everyone faces these adversities in different ways, some are proactive and others may shy away from any adversities in life. It’s important to identify the problem of adversity in one’s life and evaluate a solution to overcome it. With this technique in mind, any one person can excel through adversity. After identifying the adversity, you must then evaluate a solution. In my own life I have dealt with my fair share of adversities. In my early teens I was diagnosed with clinical depression, later in my mid-teens I had to deal with other medical scares such as a herniated disc. With the adversities I identified in my life, I took one at a time and evaluated a way to overcome it. When I was diagnosed with clinical depression, I could have dwelled in that depression for the rest of my life. Instead, I decided it would be important to let people into my life, open up, and accept that I am loved by many. A big challenge in my life is my friends and family moving on with their lives without me. I decided that I need to be proactive and take initiative in my relationships by utilizing the technology that is at my fingertips to stay in contact. With my medical spinal problems, this hampered me from doing certain activities, and a chronic pain following me around day and night. Saying you’re going to do something is nothing without action. I took initiative in my relationships with friends and family and keep in contact with them throughout both of our courses of life with the help of technology. This could include texting, Skype, and other forms of social media. My clinical depression I conquered with living a healthier mental life, opening up to others and accepting the love people had for me. Along with this idea of living a healthier mental life, I helped to alleviate my spinal back problems with working out, strengthening my core and the rest of my body, living a healthier physical lifestyle. Utilizing this process of facing adversities, I could conquer any adversity in my life. I first identified the adversities in my life. After this, I evaluated solutions to overcome these adversities. Finally, I put action to my solutions and conquered these adversities head-on. Even though I may have conquered these adversities, I am always prepared for the many more that may appear in my life. Any one person can shy away from adversity, but I am not any one person. I am a very goal-oriented individual and throughout my life I have taken initiative and faced my adversities with proactivity and
