Religion plays an important part in our world. Everywhere all over there are a variety of different religions, although, not everyone believes in a religion. For example, a specific group of people named atheists. Atheists argue for the non-existence of God or an absence of God. Then there are those who go farther and say there is no God. The most populated religions are Christianity, Islam, and Catholicism. When the United States was first founded the founders believed it was best to keep the government away from religion. Which is what the first amendment was made, the separation of church and state. However, religion is not constitutional in public schools because of this, if a school event interferes with a religious event he or she may attend instead of the alternative. Students are allowed to pray in school without descriptions instruction and educational activities. Private schools are not run by the government, religion is allowed.
