I have been volunteering since I was in 7th grade and I love volunteering and doing work that is pleasing to…
My goal in life is to leave every place, person, and situation a little better than I originally found it. My background experience as an educator, for more than five years, makes me a great candidate for educational missions. Similarly, my outlook in education makes me a great volunteer, for I believe that a person’s knowledge can always be shaped, regardless of age or previous teachings. Also, I would be a great volunteer for disaster relief missions, for I am very gentle and patient. Correspondingly, my soothing demeanor allows me to be great at helping people who are facing tragedies.…
In the past few years, I’ve volunteered with a variety of organizations from National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club. I have also co-founded a Community Outreach Club at high school. Through the Church I’ve assisted with Vacation Bible School and middle school retreats. One of my favorite memories came from volunteering for the first time with National Spanish Honor Society. Choosing to participate in this program was not a difficult decision, since I knew I wanted to continue practicing my Spanish and volunteer in the community at the same time.…
Volunteer- Franciscan Daughters of Mary For our school we are required to do 'Christian Service'. I was assigned to go to Franciscan Daughters of Mary. This is an organization that helps provide food and clothes to the homeless.…
There are few things more life changing than joining the Peace Corps, and it isn't just your life that you are changing. By joining the Peace Corps you are bringing aid to the millions across the world that need it, gaining important leadership skills, and strengthening the bonds across the entirety of the international community. The Peace Corps is one of many organizations dedicated to bringing aid to those in need, but they have been doing it longer than most. They have been at it for more than 50 years, during which they battled, and continue to strive against, pandemics, inequality, and hunger.…
Volunteering Require for College Admission Most college students have difficulty finding a job because of lack of experience in their majors or fields. In “Volunteering Required,” Loretta Van Lear argues that it is necessary for the students to be required their volunteer careers in the majors or fields before starting college programs associated with those fields. However, this statement overlooked several points which are rebuttable against it. The most important consideration is that all jobs do not have volunteer positions.…
I am currently volunteering at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass. The department that I started volunteering at is the Family Birthing Center. Some of the roles that we as volunteers perform include keeping the main window and door secure. It is highly important to keep the whole department safe and for security reasons we need to be aware who comes and goes out of the department.…
NJHS would be the opportunity of a life time. To begin, I have done numerous things in my community(s) to volunteer. When the chance presented itself, I would help at a local food kitchen in Woburn Massachusetts, there I served food we cook to those who needed it. I also volunteered…
Volunteering at Veterans Affairs Medical Center was one of the greatest experience I've ever had. Sitting down with the elderly and getting to know them, I noticed if more teens could actually sit down and take the time to talk to an elderly person they could gain an opulent amount of knowledge. Sitting down and getting to talk an innumerable amount of veterans as I could, I was intrigued by how each person had a story of their own going through WWII. Voluntarily, I was able to contribute to the organization by having open conversations with the veterans, providing beverages, and having a great time. It wasn't till the end of the program when my perception began to change about the organization I volunteered for, it's more than just about kids…
I have always had this strong desire to help others especially those in need who have children. As I have worked with children for several years, getting to see their smiles on their faces makes my day 100 times better because I know that I am helping them become better learners. I volunteer in teaching children how eating healthy and exercise has significant importance in life. I also work in teaching children how to swim and be safe in and around the water. These are some of the reasons why I want to be a Peace Corps Volunteer.…

but there's are a little different. Other countries do what we do but others have it where they have peaceful police without guns just tasers and if they cannot contain it they will bring in a different type of police with guns but only if necessary. Some of the people in the Peace Corps think we should add that into but we have not yet.…
By volunteering I would provide assistance and relief to the EMTs in my town who are currently overwhelmed by the opioid epidemic. EMTs are now training known addicts to use Narcan, because they cannot reach everyone in time. According to a recent report on opioid abuse, over nine-hundred-and-fifteen people died in Connecticut in…
Volunteering at the homeless shelter is one of my favorite things to do. A few weeks ago, on a serene Saturday morning, my family and I volunteered at Loaves and Fishes. It was special to see just the sheer amount of people who had come out to volunteer on that Saturday. If you think about, they could’ve been doing anything on that Saturday morning. Yet, they decided to help give back to their community.…
Every week this past summer I spent eight hours volunteering in Parkview 's outpatient pharmacy. My responsibilities included: restocking over the counter medications, organizing filled prescriptions, and assisting customers with their transactions. Through volunteering I met some outstanding mentors and felt as if I really made a difference to the employee’s at Parkview and the patients they treat. Being a part of Phi Delta Chi philanthropy committee allowed me to help plan and be a part of a variety of volunteer experiences. This last year our group assisted in Boo at the Zoo and Springification.…
