The Blood of Olympus is the fifth and last book in “The Heroes of Olympus” series. This series is the second series following the “Percy Jackson” series. This series is about the children of ancient Greek and Roman gods in modern day United States. In it, the seven demigods of the prophecy, go on their final adventure to defeat Gaea while others attempt to bring the Athena Parthenos, a statue of an ancient Greek god, back to a camp just for young teens of Greek gods. The name of this camp is Camp Half-Blood. The chapters are written from the perspectives of Jason, Piper, Leo, and Nico. Only four of the many main characters. Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon. Has been a focus point for majority of this series and the original series. However in this book, he is one of many characters who play a major key in the plot of the …show more content…
They share the same father of ancient Greek god named Zeus. She branches off as a non-main character. Later in the story is when she plays a key role in what happens in this novel. Her brother Jason is a bigger key in the story. Leo Valdez is the son of Hephaestus and Esperanza Valdez. One of the seven from the prophecy. He is known as an excellent mechanic and designed and built the “Argo II “. He possess the strange ability of being flammable and controlling fire and producing it with his hands. Nico di Angelo is the son of Hades, he has a half-sister. His half-sisters name is Bianca. They share the same father Hades, “god of the underworld”. Nico was born in Venice, Italy. He and his mother are both Italian. This allows him to speak Italian very fluently. Piper McLean is the daughter of Aphrodite. Who is the “goddess of love”. Her father Tristan is a famous movie star. Piper’s strongest asset is the ability to charm speak others into doing what she wants them to do. She plays more of a social support role then an outgoing fighting role although she can handle a knife when she needs
