Personal Narrative: A Pair Of Shoes At Your Store

Decent Essays
On May 2, 2016, I bought a pair of shoes at your store, without trying them on. When I tried them on at home, they were too small for me, and I took them back to the store the following day.
At the Customer Service Desk, they told me that I brought a different style of shoes. They told me that the box and the shoes didn’t match and refused to exchange them or give me a refund.
Please help me with this problem. My receipt is enclosed.
You can reach me at 603-695-6707 for any questions.

The oldest pair of socks I still own is my Bob the Builder socks. I got for Christmas when I was only four years old. I am more than glad that I still have them because it built up my admiration for socks. Those Bob the Builder socks are my lucky pair of socks. I have probably worn them every year in preparation for a piano recital, school play, benefit show, baseball game, math test, or whatever is thrown my way.…

I signed up for Free Store, and the number of hours required for this CSL placement is 30 hours with 25 hours of volunteering and 5 hours of writing papers. I contacted Frédérique Rivet to set up my placement, and I attended the first meeting with Frédérique Rivet and other volunteers. In our first meeting, we introduced to each other, and we also exchange some of our ideas about sustainability. Including the meeting time, I have completed four hours and half so far.…

It is not the easiest to find something good to do with a dollar. You can’t even buy anything at the Dollar Tree because with tax, you are spending $1.07. You could buy a Ricker’s soda, I guess, but that’s not really going to make an impact on anyone’s life. With my dollar, I decided to exchange it for one hundred pennies at Payless.…

It was a scorching summer afternoon around three o’ clock PM at J.D Redd Park. I was anxiously waiting in third base for the batter to approach the plate and smack the yarn covered ball just enough for me to make it to the home plate. As the sun hits my face I see the pitcher retract his right arm getting ready to throw it. As I see the ball leave the pitcher’s hand, I breathed in the humid air, making preparations to sprint as fast as I could and make it to the home plate. Before I could even gather my thoughts the ball departed from the pitcher’s hand and into the bat of one of the members of my team.…

As I brainstormed about things that I carry, nothing stood out. Not a single prized-possession, no metaphoric symbols, no family heirlooms, not even an everyday object that I could somehow pull a deeper meaning out of came to mind. I had no words to describe what I carry, nothing at all. And I then realized that I couldn’t have described it any better. I carry nothing.…

Sneakers changed my life. While my peers were playing Xbox, I was transforming my hobby of collecting limited edition sneakers into a thriving small business. Eighth grade basketball season was starting, and I was on the market for a new pair of sneakers. Walking through the mall, I noticed a long line at a retail store. Approaching the store, I asked someone “why the long wait”?…

Something that seems absolutely mundane to the average person, was utterly fascinating for me at the age of eight: shoes. However I wasn’t interested by just any regular shoes. I was only interested in my mother’s shoes. I vividly remember my mother leaving one day for work and me sneaking into her closet to try on her various shoes. She had a small rack full of sandals and heels, all of which I was mesmerized by.…

One essential part of humanity is helping one another. It promotes bonding, togetherness, and love. I have read times and times again in the US and other part of the world, where people stood to help other fellow citizens who have been victims of terrorist attacks, natural disasters, brutality etc. Besides the fact the recipient of a kind gesture feels a sense of gratitude and appreciation, there is a sense of fulfilment on the part of the one who renders the help. This is exactly how I feel as I relive this experience.…
