When tryouts rolled around, it was a stressful two weeks filled with achy muscles, late night papers, and various tears. In May 2015 I did not make the officer line. My dreams were crushed and I started to give up on the thing that I cherished the most, dance. I desperately was looking for a home, a family to accept the stray that I had become. Move Dance and Fitness became that home and now I am a second year captain, role model, and apprentice of their competitive dance team.
Over the two-year course with this studio I have discovered more about myself and my passions than anywhere else I have trained. I have discovered my love of teaching, my yearning to extend my creativity outside of the studio walls with interior design, and my new dream to continue dancing in college.
