How My Life Changed in the 2nd Grade
It is fair to say that we all have life changing moments and experiences. How we see those moments and what those moments are change our lives forever. My second grade year was a life changing year for me. What started out to be a really tough time in my life turned out to be a blessing because of my second grade teacher, Ms. Rosie Tubbs, who is still in my life today.
My second grade year started out to be what I thought to be one of the worst years and experiences I could ever go through. Tubbs class. I can remember when the office secretary told us her name I chuckled a little. I thought what funny name! My mom and I walk down the hallway to Ms. Tubbs classroom almost at the end of the hallway on the left. As we got the doorway Ms. Tubbs greeted us and immediately she made me feel so welcome. Even though I was still scared on the inside she had the kindest and most comforting spirit I almost wanted to grab her and give her a huge hug. . I knew I liked her from that moment. If I ever needed help with my work she would always be willing to go out of her way to help. Her and my mother eventually became great friends. She would babysit me and my brothers sometimes when my mom needed help.
As the days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months, Ms. Tubbs and I became very close. I guess you could say she became family. I am now 19 and in my first year of college and Ms. Tubbs is still a huge part of my life. She became like a second mom to me. She is always there to offer advice and guidance whenever I need it. My second grade year started out to be what I thought was sure to be the worst year of my life but turned out to be one of my greatest blessings. I can definitely say that my life changed in the second grade and I know It was meant to be for such a great person to be placed in my
