I learned alot on the trip to Parris Island, South Carolina. I learned five people in a 2012 Mustang is a very crowded ride. I learned you need to stop to rest your your legs every so often to release the strain of cramped legs. But, most of all, I learned that family will always be there when you need them.

I took him back to his barracks so he could pack his belongings. We then went to the Marine Exchange and to Comminsary. We all went to a Dominos food cart set up for all the hungry families that day to get lunch.We then decided to go to the vistors center to buy gifts and souveniers.
Later on in the afternoon we headed back to the hotel. It was nice talking and spending time as a family. We listened to boot camp stories; We also caught him up on what he had missed out on over the previous thirteen weeks.
As dinner approached we all decided on Applebees. Our new Marine picked up the tab for dinner. I loved seeing the pride he showed being able to pay for dinner. I asked Joshua if he wanted to drop off the ladies and drive to Wal-mart. I let him drive. He was so excited to drive a Mustang across the street. We went and bought everyone a gift . I will never forget the way we left swelling with pride.
On the long trip home I had plenty of time to reflect on my new family. These people had accepted me as one of thier own. We spent the next ten days celebrating Christmas and the New Years together. I love my family. We all come together to celebrate each others accomplishments. in my opinion unconditional love is what family is all
