Personal Narrative: My Wiver Wire Player

Improved Essays
After another exciting week of fantasy basketball action, it’s time once again to take a look at players who are still on the waiver wire! Hopefully you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and are ready to get back on the fantasy grind this weekend. From Avery Bradley to Luis Scola, there are a plethora of players out there to keep your eye on going forward this season.

So, here’s my waiver wire players to check out for this week:

Avery Bradley, Shooting Guard

Bradley is owned in 63.7 percent of ESPN fantasy basketball leagues this season. Over the last few weeks, Bradley has performed very well for Boston and deserves a spot on your fantasy roster. This year, he has averaged 15.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 28.7 minutes per game. Bradley has also averaged a nice 2.4 three-point shots made per contest this year as well. With Marcus Smart out for the next couple of weeks, Bradley is going to be a

Miles, Small Forward

Miles is owned in 31.0 percent of ESPN fantasy basketball leagues this season. Miles has been stellar over his last few games, shooting high percentages from the floor. In 2015, he has averaged 15.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 27.6 minutes per contest. The Pacers duo of Paul George and Miles can very well be a lethal one every single game this season. Just this week, he exploded with a 32 points, three rebounds and three assists game versus the Wizards.

T.J. McConnell, Point

McConnell isn’t a big name player who is going to take the court each night and score 40 points. He’s a guy who stuffs the stat sheets across the board, which is exactly what I like for category-based fantasy leagues. So far this season, McConnell has averaged 6.9 points, 6.5 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 28.6 minutes per game. If you have a player injured and need a fill in guy for a week or two, McConnell could very well be a guy to keep your eye

Hopefully, he is given more opportunity to play this Sunday, vs the Vikings, because i believe Godwin has what it takes to become a premiere receiver in this league. Justin Evans is another who had not been able to showcase his skills in the first game of the regular season, but his time will come and when it does, look out NFL! Despite no Bucs rookies making Kiper's list, Beckwith and Howard both were listed as next in line by Kiper which is fine in my…

Stephen Strasburg holds the most impressive record in the big leagues with a 13 – 0 record. He is undefeated up until this point with a 2.51 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 138 SO. Strasburg is right up with Kershaw in contention for the NL Cy Young Award, and the race will only get tighter as the season continues. Strasburg doesn’t look like declining anytime soon and neither does his team. The Nationals are riding a 5 game win streak and will probably finish on top of the NL East.…

[buf] Matt Cassel I would like to start by saying Matt Cassel isn't a Fantasy relevant QB. With that said the Bills did a good job building a team around him. Cassel excells when he can play possession ball. While he doesn't become fantasy relevant I believe the more ball control offense the bills will run this year will help several of there relevant fantasy football contributors pile up the stats LeSean McCoy This was the most shocking development of the offseason.…

It was a midsummer's night in August as the Philadelphia Eagles made their preseason debut. All eyes watched with cautious optimism as Carson Wentz took the field shortly after the two-minute warning. He strode on to the field to roaring applause as all eyes were on him in the midnight green helmet. Wentz is a vital part of the future and got his first taste on Thursday night of what it means to be an NFL quarterback. Being a rookie at any level or position in the NFL is never easy but being drafted into his situation is a major challenge.…

Last week the Eagles’ number two receiver, Nelson Agholor had his best game of the season, scoring 8.4 fantasy points, much higher than his usual numbers. Bottom line is this; Hankerson is dirt cheap, is averaging 14 fantasy points per game, and has an extremely favorable matchup. He is a must play this week.…

Andre Johnson, a former teammate of J.J Watt, described J.J’s abilities by saying, “Man, I don’t think there’s a word that can really describe J.J. He affects the game in so many ways, whether it’s knocking down passes or sacking the quarterback or just even causing confusion on the play.” J.J Watt is one of the most feared defensive players in the entire National Football League. He is on track to be one of the best defensive ends ever to play the game of football. In just four seasons, J.J totaled fifty-seven sacks.…

Without Dez Bryant, the Dallas Cowboys' offense has been crippled In hopes to improve an offense that’s struggling, the Dallas Cowboys, who’ve been snake bitten with injuries, have made a change at quarterback. Without quarterback Tony Romo, their four-time Pro Bowler and all-time franchise leading passer, the Cowboys were forced to roll with the arm of backup Brandon Weeden, after Romo fractured his left clavicle against the Eagles in Week 2. In three starts, Weeden completed 71 of 98 attempts, completing 72.4 percent of his passes. That looks sexy on paper, but with Weeden under center, Dallas’ passing game didn’t generate plays beyond intermediate distances to stretch opposing defenses for big plays.…

Playing fantasy sports has increased exponentially in popularity over the past 10 years. This can be traced to the Federal Government's decision to declare participating in fantasy leagues for cash prizes to be perfectly legal. As the NFL season approaches, prospective managers are honing their skills and planning their draft strategies. Given that skill levels may vary from one manager to the next, it would seem some fantasy football draft advice would be in order to try and even the playing field a little. 1.…

What does Alfred Morris bring to the Dallas Cowboys’ backfield? Although Darren McFadden was effective carrying the load as the lead back for the Cowboys’ rushing attack last season—banking on the veteran who has a history of nagging injuries to be a healthy camper wouldn’t be a safe route for the brass to take. So to add some insurance and competition, the Cowboys signed former Redskins back Alfred Morris to a 2-year, $3.5 million deal, with incentives for the 2-time Pro Bowler to potentially earn $5.5 million. Morris was the Bell-Cow runner for the Redskins in his first three seasons before splitting the work with rookie Matt Jones last season.…

If you woke up Thursday morning and were freaked out by the reports that four Ohio State players had been suspended for the season opener against Virginia Tech, then you should go back to bed, lay down and take a nap, because this isn't much of a headline. First off, clearly the biggest loss is Joey Bosa, a possible number one overall pick, and the leader of the Ohio State defense. Yet, with all that being said, the Buckeyes will be able to make it out of one game without Bosa against the team receiving the twenty-ninth most votes in the Amway Coaches Poll, Virginia Tech. Adolphus Washington will likely hold down the defensive line, put he won't be without help.…

Tight Ends How have tight ends turned from just another lineman to point scoring machine? One they are bigger than most other plays so they can't be tackled easily, and two they are usually drafted for their catching skills, not their blocking skills. Tight Ends, almost all do some very amazing things, an example of a good tight end is Travis Kelce, who played in college, and the NFL. The position of tight end has changed over time.…
