“Mhm”, I replied. It was the last day of school and I decided that I wanted to make a change over the summer and years of effort was just thrown down the drain all in one day. I had been growing my hair out since 1st grade and I've tried 2 different hairstyles. From 1st grade to 4th grade, I had braids and from 5th to 6th grade, I had dreads. I felt like my heart drop. When we finished, I looked up in the mirror and I looked like a totally different person. My mom told me that I can go get my hair shaped and cleaned up by real barbers on the next day so it can look more decent. So, I went to bed pretty happy that I cut it. The next morning, we went early in the morning to go to my brothers barber to get my hair shaped and cut. When we got there, the place was empty so I didn't have to wait in line. I sat in the chair and she went right to cutting.
“RRR”
The loud clippers turned on and in about 15 minutes she was done. When we were done I realized that I like this cut a lot better. When I got home, I went to the fair with my friends.
“I think it looks good”, Mrs. Martin said as I got in the car.
“Thank you”, I replied.
My friends said it looked better too. When I got home, it was time to go to bed and I felt happy and relieved that I wouldn't have to take care of it as much as I used to and I learned that some decisions and choices that you make may make you feel like they won't be good but they can actually make you
