The Fatal Battle of Esterlyn
As I’m taking a stroll along the hard sidewalk, I realize that moving into the town of Dorton was the best decision I’ve ever made. The wind bristles against my face like strokes of a paintbrush on a canvas. I gaze out into the long forest miles away from me. I wonder what secrets are hidden back there. I enjoy the smell of nature around me. I can hear the little children laughing with glee as they’re all prancing around on the playground. One of them approaches me. “Estella!” a little girl calls. “My mommy and daddy told me to say thank you for saving them.” “Anytime,” I reply. “And tell them to be careful the next time they decide to go mountain climbing on a rainy day.” She laughs and skips away. After that she uses a type of purple voodoo magic to keep me from using my legs. I thought she only used bow and arrows! She throws a purple source at the building, and it explodes. Millions of ashes explode into the air. It would be unlikely if anyone around that building survived. Adwoa digs her hands into the ground and breaks the floor open. She throws another purple gas at in the abyss, and fire blazes out of it. “It is finished!” she yells as she picks me up. But before she can throw me into the fire, I flip over her head and try to kick her as I land. She doesn’t fall. In fact, she trips me and I fall back into the hole. As I’m falling I feel the radiation of the flames, even though they haven’t touched me yet. I close my eyes, preparing for the worst. I’ve really underestimated Adwoa. I’m afraid. What if I’m not the best? If I die here, who will take my place of being the best hero? I feel a surge of energy as I finally feel the fire take over my body.
