Personal Reflection: My Personal Definition Of Success

My personal definition of success at the end of this course is that success is to have a successful life, being able to do things independently for myself and not always have someone there to do things for me. It's achieving my goals on my own terms and at my own pace. It has changed for me because before I wasn’t really that organize with my assignments and even though I wasn’t organized I still manage to do all my work. I would put myself in a difficult position where I just don’t do anything but once that assignment is due I would start doing it at the last-minute rushing. My definition of success when I started the semester was " trying so hard and putting all your effort would take you to the top" and I have seen the changes when I had taken this course. The strategies we used from our text book helped me think over about my future. " Discovering self-motivation" was an assignment we had on our success class and it help me process my future, goals and it think ahead about what I should do to not fail for my next semester. We used the DAPPS rule (Dated, Achievable, Personal, Positive, and Specific) to go over on what are the good things we should do in over 5 years. I have to motivate myself and think positive. In the beginning of the year I had struggles of thinking positive because of all those assignments I hand in late had me thinking that I will not succeed nor I will not get any further with my future. But knowing that I had to start doing things differently got me thinking differently. By the middle of the semester I started changing slowly and slowly just by these strategies we have been doing in class and homework
