Thanksgiving

I always love this time of the year because of the holidays. In just a few short days Thanksgiving will be here. Not only is it exciting that it is Thanksgiving, I also get to have 5 days off of school! Thanksgiving is always great because you get to spend time with family, and enjoy being with one another. The food is also a plus. This year Thanksgiving will be at my house. I would prefer it to be somewhere else because my mom wants me to clean my room, but I guess it is ok that we are having it. My mom is making all the food and some people may bring some dessert. I don’t always help her cook, but I might this year. The desserts other people bring are cherry cobbler, pumpkin pie, apple pie and fruit salad. After we eat the adults usually sit around and talk while us kids usually watch television and talk to each other. This year I’m hoping that we can all get along and there will be no arguing about my grandma. I also hope that we can play cards and watch some good movies together. Me and my cousins get together all the time, so it is really no different for us when we get together because we see each other every week. After dinner me, my mom, and my sister put all the leftovers away and start to clean up the kitchen. I don’t always help, just sometimes. I would rather sit with my cousins and watch television especially Supernatural. In the evening me and my family go black Friday shopping. I love to go black Friday shopping. My parents don’t really like to go anymore because they say they do not have to get the deals now because we are older. We all have a really fun time shopping. We don’t usually buy a lot of stuff, but it is just nice being able to
