Pros and Cons of Open Lunch

Open lunch is what every student wants to have.

If we were able to have open lunch it would cut back on the spending the schools uses to provide lunch. That money could go to other things we need in the school.

Not only would it cut back spending, but it could also provide a better lunch, for that student. If kids were able to leave they’d be able to get as much food as they want so they won’t be hungry throughout the day.

This idea will allow the students more time to eat and not be in a rush it will also teach them time management and responsibility.

It would also make students manage their own time.

Not only is there pros to having open lunch there’s also cons.

But, in other times it could be soggy or very cold like I have had sometimes. I feel that although our school lunches are offered in several options which is good, but there are instances where the foods that they serve in are not the types of food that they we would like to eat.…

It would be healthier for students if they had a longer lunch period. Lunch should be longer because students need more time to realize they are full, students don’t have enough time to get to lunch and wait in line, and it would help to reduce student stress.
