My purpose in life is to serve others. My mother says this began at birth because I was such an easy baby so she could take care of my hyperactive and autistic brother; she says it is just naturally who I am, and I agree. This is the reason I chose to attend high school at St.
Joseph’s Academy whose motto is “Not I, But We,” and whose mission includes “serving the dear neighbor without distinction.” This is also the reason I chose to attend a Jesuit University for my undergraduate career, as its mission incorporates making “decisions in the light of what is truly for… the service of those in need” as well as forming “men and women for others.” These ideals are my ideals, and I believe that this is what draws me to be an Occupational Therapist
