“I don’t know. I’m making this up as I go” said by Indiana Jones, perfectly describes how Steven Spielberg wanted the movie to be charismatic, charming, and funny as he admitted that this was, “the first movie where I actually shot the movie without thinking.” From native tribes and snakes to Nazis, it seems Indiana Jones can’t keep himself out of trouble when it comes to searching for lost treasure. That being said, his adventures are a roller coaster with twists and turns that you would least expect. “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” with George Lucas, the executive producer who birthed “Star Wars”, and Steven Spielberg as the director who made “Jaws”, is an out-of-body experience that requires an immense amount of imagination. After “Star Wars” was released, “Raiders of the Lost Ark” explored special effects in a greater depth. Many of the scenes used special effects and made it much more realistic and believable which makes the movie more enjoyable and interesting to watch. The movie had such great special and visual effects that it won an academy award for best visual effects.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark” is a dauntless and valiant epic adventure that incorporates a little “Star Wars,” James Bond films, and other multimillion-dollar-special-effect movies. The movie only wants to perform one job and that is to entertain and given how much money the movie made I would say it succeeds at doing so.
