I learned that Hinduism is a polytheistic religion consisting of numerous gods/goddesses and their different roles such as Vishnu (the preserver/protector), Shiva (the destroyer), Ganesh (the remover of obstacles/ the creator), Kali (goddess of time, doomsday, and death), and more. I also learned that there are many different types of Hinduism including Shaivism and Vaishnavism. One of the most fascinating things I learned about Hinduism was that karma is derived from the Hindu religion. Christianity and Judaism were religions that I had general ideas about. However, I did not realize how much information I actually did not know about those two. Learning about each of these religions was eye-opening and figuring out the similarities between them made it fascinating. Learning about how others express their beliefs through meditation, prayer, just simply having faith, and other forms of expression was interesting and new information to me. Taking World Religions helped me see what others believe in rather only knowing about my religion and what I believe
