The definition of respect is admiring someone and showing kindness to them. Respect is an very important virtue to have in individuals because it values other individuals and makes them feel appreciated. The best way to teach respect to others it to show respect to others. Respect also reinforces communication between two individuals and lets them connect better. Respect in the modern world also helps allow peace and kindness between people. If no one showed respect to one another, it would most likely result in people never being nice to one another and care for them. I always try to show respect to my mom by listening to her and doing all that she tells me to do. I occasionally help my mom with some daily chores and I help out around in the house. When I show respect to my mom, I feel a great satisfaction and a lot better when I show respect to my mom. My mom also becomes extremely kind to me and she respects my decisions. If everybody respected each other, the world would have been such a more better place to live in. If an person did not respect anybody, he or she would not be respected either, and would grow up to be rude or inconsiderate. Showing respect can help avoid misunderstandings and communicate better. If individuals show respect to an elder or a teacher, it allows greater communication to happen and reduce the chance for misunderstandings. I always try to show respect and listen to what my mom always has to say and then respond back respectfully. This helps me communicate better with my mother and comprehend what she has to say.
